New U.S. Sandwiches Coming Soon!
Recently we completed a fast paced and very successful menu food photography project through Cineplex Digital Networks (CDN) for Tim Hortons with our amazing team of photographer/stylists and creative/marketing from CDN and Tims. The two day shoot included a variety of new and revamped sandwiches for a new U.S. test market. Cineplex provides digital menu boards and interactive solutions as well as other services to the popular quick service restaurant chain.
The article, written by JD Malone from The Columbus Dispatch, outlines the introduction of new lunch items to the American market in the Ohio region. Tim Hortons is revamping their lunch menu at a number of stores including 12 new sandwiches. After 18 months of trial and testing, the new sandwiches are planned to go national in September.
The sandwiches are not all new items, some are upgraded versions of traditional favourites including the turkey bacon club that will use higher quality bread, full slices of bacon and real cheese. A new item is the grilled cheese sandwich that uses multiple types of cheese and bacon and will surely be a new favourite.
The article states half of Tim Hortons’ sales come from after 11a.m., but only 10% comes from the lunch menu. This large step in revamping their lunch menu items will hopefully spark new sales. With coffee being purchased throughout the day, sandwiches are a great item to add on and provide additional sales.
